We unearthed a seemingly endless bounty of old blueprints and drawings in my parents' basement. (Dad was a contractor/engineer in a family business that dated back to the early 1900s.) The prints and drawings included those for two churches in Chicago's Gold Coast and an Art Deco movie palace that is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Some of these documents were nearly 100 years old, damaged, brittle, and stuck inside their canisters. Scott and his team at ARC came to our rescue. In our opinion, they performed miracles. They carefully extricated the documents, diligently pieced them together (when necessary), and made beautiful scans of all three projects--and even reversed and enhanced those on the old BLUE blueprint, paper, making them easier to read. We are so happy with the results and with Scott and ARC's restoration and scanning services. Not only will these scans provide lifelong memories for us, but they will serve as a roadmap to these buildings and their construction/renovation history for their current owners and/or leaders. And we are delighted that the scans will be preserved at The Art Institute of Chicago as part of their archives.

I just had ARC scan 40, 100+ year old blue prints. Many of which where not in the best of shape. The scans are beautiful and all my original blue prints were returned to me flat, and in better shape then they have seen in years! We are looking forward to our next job with this great team!
