International Information Security Certification (ISO/IEC) by ARC
Many technological achievements have special significance only to the few who truly understand them; but today we’re announcing a new technical certification that’s important to anyone who works with ARC.
The achievement of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for the company, its managed print services procedures, and its cloud platform is significant for stakeholders of ARC – whether customer, vendor or partner. They can be secure in the knowledge that the company’s information security management system complies with international best practices, and reflects a commitment to a repeatable, continuously improving, risk-based process to keep it that way.
In a nutshell, if anyone hosts their data with us, they can count on a rigorous set of standards to keep it safe.
“For us, the ISO 27001 certification represents an external validation of a belief we have always held,” said Rahul Roy, Chief Technology Officer for ARC. “Your data is private, your data security matters, your data is yours, and it should be protected. This has been a constant theme for our development and network teams since ARC began developing information management platforms in 2000. While it was no surprise to us that our systems were found to be robust, and were certified relatively quickly, the certification provides comfort and confidence for our customers and partners.”
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Far more than simple permissions and access controls, our information security system extends past online security and includes security protocols for people, processes, and IT systems. Not only does it protect our business against information security threats and vulnerabilities, it meets or exceeds many of our national and international customers’ requirements for data security.
ARC’s certification covers everything from information, management, and processing facilities hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), to the design, development, implementation, and operation of the systems, applications, databases, and networks inside ARC.
The company’s certifying body is Otabu Certification Limited (UK). The protocols and controls required for ISO certification are stringent. To learn more, this link provides more detail about the certification process.
